Instagram, Facebook Are Down Globally; Many Users Automatically Logged Out

  Instagram and Facebook have abruptly gone offline in India and several other parts of the world. Users are complaining that they are not able to refresh their feeds on the official app and website. Stories, direct messages, and other features of both platforms are also not working. The Meta-owned social media apps went offline at around  8:50 PM IST . As a sigh of relief, WhatsApp is working completely fine. Meta, Facebook, and Instagram have not commented on the situation yet. Facebook users are also complaining that they have been automatically logged out of their accounts from the app and the website. Users are also unable to log in back to their accounts. Some users also expressed their concern on other social media platforms thinking that their accounts were hacked, but that’s not the case.

Apple has filed an appeal after the Biden administration authorized a ban on smartwatches.

According to Apple, a decision from the US Customs Office is expected on January 12. Apple on Tuesday filed an appeal to overturn Massimo's patent-infringing ban on imports of the Apple Watch, requesting that the ban be stayed until the United States U.S. Customs and Border Protection has yet to decide whether the redesigned watches infringe on Massimo's patents.   Fox Business reported that the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) issued an order on Tuesday banning the import and sale of Apple Watches that contain blood oxygen sensing technology by the Massimo.
